As we transition to the new Page1+ library search system, some permalinks to articles, books, videos and other resources may no longer work.
Example:
Morton, J. (2022). A look at mass timber. Buildings, 116(2), 27–29.
https://login.gbcprx01.georgebrown.ca/login?url=https://search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?direct=true&db=b9h&AN=156411956&site=eds-live&scope=site
If your permalink contains eds, it will no longer work as of January 1, 2023.
It is easy to update your permalinks to work with our new search system. The steps are outlined below.
*Please note: Separate instructions are provided for updating Canadian newspaper articles containing eds in the permalink.
Please Note: This is a temporary link to give you the opportunity to get an early start on updating your articles. As of December 19th you will be able to search for your articles directly from the library's main website.
Article: Morton, J. (2022). A look at mass timber. Buildings, 116(2), 27-29.
If the title is very general, you may want to add the author’s last name :
A look at mass timber AND Morton
If no author is listed, combine the title with the journal title:
A look at mass timber AND buildings
*Note: capitalize the AND in your search
Although many links to Canadian newspaper articles will continue to work with our new Page1+ system, any links with eds in them will need to be updated.
Example:
Whitzman, C. (2022, November 11). We need a common definition of affordable housing; An understanding of 80 per cent of market value doesn’t necessarily make affordable units. Globe & Mail (Toronto, Canada), A6.
