Part of the design research process will include finding images for use in your projects - naturally we encourage you to create your own visual imagery - but you may still need to use some online material. These sites are some of the best resources available for material that is either in the creative commons or public domain.
Please always make sure that you are either using material you know you are legally allowed to use or have asked permission from the original creator before you use that work.
It is the student/researcher's obligation to determine and satisfy copyright or other use restrictions when using, publishing or otherwise distributing materials.
Be sure to investigate the copyright restrictions at each website and to always cite any images you include in your own work.
Note: Even Copyright Free Images must be properly cited and credited.
