The Internet Archive can be a great source to find digitized copies of out-of-print books, as well as earlier editions of titles. Create a free account to borrow individual titles.
Toronto Public Library has an extensive collection of books on costume history. All students at George Brown are eligible to get a free library card. Toronto Public Library staff will be on campus January 30th from 1:00-5:00 to help students get their library cards.
