Abstract: Several methods have been used to evaluate the economic performance of investment projects over a period of time. Life-cycle costing (LCC) is one method now being widely used for such an evaluations of building investment projects. The purpose of this Digest is to explain, in general terms, the concept, technique, and assumptionss of LCC. A brief discussion of some of its limitations is also included.
